Neukölln’s Art Night takes place annually on the first Saturday in November. This year’s Kunstnacht, presented by the Schillerpalais and numerous co-producers, comprises more than 150 separate events at well over 100 locations in North Neukölln.
Start off with a film, move on to a theatre, check out an exhibition, and wind up the evening at a party. You’ll be chauffeur-driven everywhere, and the whole thing’s free of charge – that’s NACHTUNDNEBEL.
Neukölln now enjoys cult status, thanks not least to the countless artists who now live and work here. Their presence and their creativity enliven the borough and improve the quality of life. At the same time, they perform an important social and cultural task by reflecting on the problems in this part of town.
In contrast to other art nights, NACHTUNDNEBEL offers you a chance to meet and talk with the artists involved. Grasp the opportunity – and enjoy your trip through Neukölln’s buzzing arts scene!
Please note:
We have chartered a number of minibus taxis for visitors to the NACHTUNDNEBEL events. These vehicles are easily recognisable, they’ll be doing a circuit of the various locations, and you can flag them down wherever you see them. (By the way: they’re all fuelled with environmentally-friendly LPG.)

L’idée de ce projet est née de l’envie d’aborder le cinéma et ces diverses sources différemment.Est apparue alors la nécessité de construire un cinéma itinérant, se déplaçant de la même façon qu’une caméra qui cherche ses images, ce “cinéma volant” porte aussi en lui le mouvement des images, cherchant à mobiliser des publiques et intervenants intéressés à l’expérimentation cinématographique.Ce projet comprend différents abordages, de la projection de films muets “sonorisés musicalement en live”, à la formation, en passant par des ateliers. Les films projetés sont réalisés sur pellicule en format super 8 et 16 mm, un cinéma analogique, physique, rappelant les prémices de ce langage des images en mouvement, qui graduellement se “virtualise”, à travers la massification des technologies digitales, caractérisé par un ” immédiatisme”, qui finit par se banaliser. Le Cinéma Volant prévoit donc d’interagir avec la publique, allant à sa rencontre, apportant de nouvelles images, de nouveaux sons bref un cinéma nouveau, mobile et forain.
