AS I F (summary project description)
The challenge of this project is to create choreographic situations, which would make visible the field of imagination of bodies in movement. As if it was possible, for the observer, to see the movement of the bodies through the fictions that give birth to them, stimulating the perception of experimenting different ways to create images in time and space. The main question of this choreographic research is how to use the abstraction of imagination to build a concrete experience. Where the observer doesn’t necessarily need to have a relationship with what he is seeing only through a semiotic game, but where he can be affected by the subjective materiality of the choreography. Ben J. Riepe finds plain and intense images of movement for overheated thoughts and feelings. Space, light, sound and time are laborious for the dancers. It might be about feelings, yet what we see is a precise construction of collapse and beyond. Empathy is not the issue here – Riepe’s way of staging this rampage of the individual against himself is, Dog Days or not, ice-cold.

Once upon a space, deep in vacuum times of outer sound universe, fragments of infinite memories were gathering, compressing, reaching a boiling point, creating a Big Sound Quake. It exploded and diffused memories in nano dissipated fragements, displacing them through space-time continuum. Cinezoo is on quest to find valuable fragments that will help them to rediscover lost scattered stories hidden within memories. Cinezoo are dynamic duo, group consisting of video/sound artist/performer Joao Bento and sound designer/composer/sound director Vladimir Rakic. Aside from colaborating in differrent artistic disciplines (theater, film, game, installations), Cinezoo is pure musical project, investigating borders of sound storytelling. Visual Music? Non – Music? Cinema for Blind? All that together and more? Or none at all?

A fusion of electronic and acoustic music combining live performance and real-time analogue images. The music takes us on a journey through sound landscapes where the enchanted meets the real. Image is used as a visual and sound instrument. Various materials (machinery, scrap, paint, etc.) are transformed on glass, taking different shapes and colours. The three performers weave a continuous, discontinuous relationship, with the image as a sculptural element of sound, and sound a component of image. JOÃO BENTO, RODOLFO PIMENTA and DAVID LEITÃO are responsible for Canal Zero, seeking to experiment with sound and image. It was first performed in 2004.

Two characters that have Narcolepsy (in different degrees) share a night with a character that has just the opposite disorder: Insomnia.

This is a study for nomad proposition. This is 20 minutes ‘parcours’ in Berlin, from Karl Marx Str. No: 26 to Elbestrasse No: 6.

The soundtrack is extracted from the route and collected in another one.
Another places where it will be performed. This is ‘a piece’ inside a collection, where each different courses made in different cities, will be a ground for other movement negotiations. The movement reproduces itself through this possible sound landscapes. This will be the ground for building, parking or destructing a dance. Replacing the place. It is a tool for dance making. It is a past for a future dance. A background for something that will be made. An imperfect future for a dance.
