CANAL ZERO on TKB Project – Live Act | Portugal 22h00 – 29 May 2010 Black Box | Montemor-O-Novo
A fusion of electronic and acoustic music combing live performance and real-time analogue images. The music takes us on a journey through sound landscapes where the enchanted meets the real. Image is used as a visual and sound instrument. Various materials (machinery, scrap, paint, etc.) are transformed on glass, taking different shapes and colours.The three performers weave a continuous, discontinuous relationship, with the image as a sculptural element of sound, and sound a component of image. João Bento, João Bastos and Rodolfo Pimenta are responsible for Canal Zero, seeking to experiment with sound and image.

TKB SUMMER BAR | CHILL OUT – PARTY TKB project: a Transmedia Knowledge-Base for contemporary dance 1st TKB Lab-in-Residence: 24 – 28 May (for TKB project partners) Research focus: “New models of documentation for contemporary dance” and PUBLIC CONFERENCE | 29th MAY 2010 in partnership with Alkantara Festival 2010 at CONVENTO DA SAUDAÇÃO | MONTEMOR-O-NOVO In the framework of the TKB research project (coordinated by Carla Fernandes – PhD Linguistics at UNL/FCSH), the Linguistics Centre of the New University of Lisbon (CLUNL) and O Espaço do Tempo are organizing the 1st TKB hands-on Lab, combining an arts&science residency (24-28 May 2010) and a public conference (29 May 2010). The main research topic will be “New models of documentation for contemporay dance”, mainly focusing on the emerging “Transmedia Knowledge Base” project – while based on Rui Horta’s material – and the follow-ups of the “Inside Movement Knowledge” project from Emio Greco|PC, Amsterdam,while interacting with other research projects in this or similar domains, small or large-scale, international or national.
